THIS YEAR – AS AN INCENTIVE TO PAY IN FULL FOR A REGULAR SHARE FOR THE WHOLE YEAR BY FEBRUARY 15TH – WE’RE OFFERING THE NEW 4-WEEK WINTER SESSION FOR FREE! THIS IS A SAVINGS OF $100 AND WILL HELP US MEET OUR FINANCIAL AND SOCIAL GOALS. IF IT’S WITHIN YOUR MEANS TO DO SO, PLEASE SUPPORT US IN THIS WAY.

 

NEW FOR 2017

The 2017 Granite Springs Farm CSA is split into four sessions for a total of 30 weeks of delicious seasonal vegetables. Many of you have told us you really miss our vegetables when the CSA isn’t in session, so this year we’ve added an additional 6 weeks of vegetables! Now the Spring Session is 10 weeks; the Summer Session is 8 weeks, the Fall Session is 8 weeks and the newly added Winter Session is 4 weeks. Members can join one, two, three or all 4 sessions, and pay for them separately or all at once.

This year we’ve changed the pricing structure in order to meet our goals to begin paying ourselves a living wage and to provide more vegetables to lower income participants. In this way, Community Supported Agriculture takes on a deeper meaning because the community will not only be supporting the farm and its farmers, but will be supporting each other.

There are two share sizes–the Regular Share will have 7-8 items weekly, and the Individual Share will have an average of 5 items (and often smaller quantities of each item). There are limited Individual Shares available as our budget requires a majority of Regular Shares. Think about it… Individual Shares and Regular Shares take us almost the same amount of work to harvest, pack, and deliver – so please only choose an Individual Share if you’re entirely sure you can’t eat the entire Regular one!  Most couples and families who prepare 2-3 (or more) meals at home each week find the Regular Share meets their needs. Many individuals who prepare most of their own meals also find the Regular Share works for them.
