The GSF farmshare is enough vegetables for 1-4 people, depending how many meals they eat at home. For example, a single person who eats at least 5 meals a week prepared at home can usually use all the vegetables in the bag each week. A family of 4, who eat 2 meals at home, can use the contents of the bag in a week. The share isn’t intended to supply all the vegetables for a family who regularly eat most of their meals at home, but will be a great start!
The 2020/2021 CSA Season has 18 scheduled pick ups and begins the first week of October 2020, and goes through April 2021. The October, November, and December pick ups will be weekly, skipping Thanksgiving week and going until December 16th/17th. The January, February and March pick ups will be every other week beginning January 6th/7th and going until April 21st/22nd. Inclimate weather could change the pick up schedule.
Pick Up Locations
Wednesday pick ups are in Chapel Hill at Church of the Holy Family at 200 Hayes Rd. The bags will be delivered to the screened porch of the Parish House at 4:30 pm and members can swing by any time to get their bags.
Thursday pick ups will (hopefully) be at the Pittsboro Farmers Market at Mainstreet Station from 3-6 pm. Currently, with the pandemic, Granite Springs is not attending market and is doing distributions on the farm. We hope to return to market in the near future. However, if the virus makes a resurgence, we will ask for members to pick up their shares on Thursdays at the farm, which is located about 6 miles north of town off Hwy. 87N. The physical address of the farm is 265 Granite Springs Rd. We will communicate clearly about Thursday pick up location.

Pay It Forward Fund
We have reserved 25% of the CSA shares for members who need a 50 % subsidy to be able to enroll. These members will pay their portion weekly, and can use SNAP/EBT benefits if they desire.
We welcome donations by check or credit/debit card to our Pay It Forward Fund to help subsidize our neighbors with fewer financial resources. Thanks!
