Pepper Fire Roasting

Mid-August into October

We bring our propane powered fire roaster to the Pittsboro Farmers Market, Thursdays 3-6, Lorax Lane, Pittsboro, NC and fire roast peppers for FREE! Customers select three pounds or more of our roasting peppers (and bells) and pay the regular market price (2023 $5 per pound) and our volunteer will roast them for FREE! You’ll receive your peppers in a freezer bag, ready for you to remove seeds and peel (EASY!) and then eat or freeze! This is peak pepper time and the season to freeze for winter soups, stews, and chilies!

Customers are invited to pre-order online to make sure they get the peppers they want. We also serve walk-up, day of, customers! See link below for preorders!
