Farmer to Farmer Training Sunday Sept. 29th

Join Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Granite Springs Farm for the September tour and potluck for CRAFT United Piedmont — a farmer-to-farmer collaborative learning project where farmers and apprentices can learn from each other and build a stronger farming community.

Participants in September’s CRAFT tour at Granite Springs Farm will learn how to modify existing farm buildings to grow oyster mushrooms and fit that operation into an existing vegetable growing operation. We will also discuss how to deal with pests, temperature control, and other problems.

The tour will start promptly at 2 pm on Sunday, September 29, and will finish with a potluck meal. Please bring a dish to share, drinks you want to enjoy, and your own plate and utensils. Please also bring a chair or blanket to sit on if possible. Cooler/refrigerator space will be available during the tour. Registration: https://septembercraftup2013.eventbrite.com/
